We are looking for energetic and caring staff to join our team in a Behavioral Health Professional/Night Security role.
This awake, overnight position is an integral part of the team as we work together to meet the needs of our residents.
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the health and safety of residents throughout the evening and overnight.
They also support residents through the transitions of their morning and evening routines.

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the health and safety of residents throughout the evening and overnight.
The OBHW position works closely with our daytime BHWs to support residents through the transitions of their morning and evening routines, by building rapport with residents within appropriate professional boundaries; creating opportunities for residents to rediscover values and develop skills to cope with challenges; helping students develop a relationship with the natural world and learn how to get along with others in healthy and cooperative ways; evaluating the results of students' choices; and encouraging residents to develop improved strategies and problem-solving skills.
Position Functions &
Responsibilities:
Actively participate and contribute in training and continued professional development Remain awake, alert and responsive to the needs of the residents throughout the shift Monitoring security cameras throughout the overnight hours Assist residents with daily activities such as preparing for the day, cleaning and cooking Work in conjunction with the days staff team in the milieu at the end of day and/or beginning of day Provide routine bunk checks according to program procedure Update templates for residents' daily notes Document residents' progress and any changes in daily notes Review and maintain familiarity with residents individual plans Report significant health or behavioral issues to the on-call manager Provide crisis intervention and access emergency services as needed Maintain program expectations and encourage healthy growth in our residents Maintain 100% supervision at all times, providing constant emotional and physical support to students Respond to program, behavioral and medical needs in accordance with Ironwood policies and procedures Ensure the well-being and safety of residents throughout their entire shift Communicate with Overnight BHW Manager regarding any safety concerns, facility issues, or resident needs Qualifications Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Required Competencies:

Must be able to traverse irregular, uneven, and steep terrain Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment Must be able to adhere to process protocol Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner Required/Preferred
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass extensive background checks, including fingerprinting High School Diploma/GED required 1-2 years' experience working directly with youth required Experience with behavior and group management preferred College degree in related fields preferred (recreation therapy, behavioral health, etc) Current CPR, Safety-Care, CRMA, First-Aid Certifications, andCertified BHP a plus Organization
