Summary:
Qualified candidates who can work within a team of professionals, as well as manage a caseload of up to 6 students who are engaged in all aspects of the program.
Ironwood functions within a treatment team model, assessing and supporting students as a multi-disciplinary team.
This position requires strong communication skills, thoughtful organization, the ability to multitask, and most importantly someone who is able to form healthy connections with adolescents and adults alike.
This position is located on campus, with limited remote work by permission only.
Position Functions &
Responsibilities:
Establishes positive, trusting rapport with residents, parents and referral sources Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders Develops individualized master treatment plans and updates every 90 days Develops new admission evaluations including but not limited to the following:
Biopsychosocial Master Treatment Plan Crisis Plan Behavior Support Plan Provides weekly individual counseling and treatment Facilitates weekly family therapy sessions that focuses on family systems/reunification Evaluates, measures and records resident progress Reviews daily behavioral progress notes and weekly academic progress notes Attends psychiatric medication consultations Refers residents to outside specialists or agencies when necessary Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality Communicates student's progress with parents and referral source Facilitates clinical groups as assigned by the clinical director Works with the other departments to create a well rounded therapeutic environment Attends and participates in a weekly clinical and caseload treatment team meetings Meets with clinical supervisor at least weekly for formal supervision meetings Participates and contributes to quarterly Family Connect activities and sessions Additional tasks & responsibilities as assigned, depending on caseload Required/Preferred
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in social work, clinical or educational psychology, psychiatry or other related field, with current Maine State License requires; fully licensed a plus.
Experience working with adolescents in a treatment center milieu required 3 years experience in direct service to children and adolescents, preferably as a clinician, or comparable experience.
Starting Pay Range:
$65,000 - $70,000 for conditionally licensed and $75,000 - $85,000
for fully licensed
